Hi and welcome! I’m Julie and I've hired myself to make the most of my family’s finances. I started The Family CEO to document my efforts and to share what I’ve learned.
I blog about saving and investing, paying off debt, paying for college, and managing my family's money. And because I really hate to follow budgets, I talk a lot about found money, which is a strategy that's helped us pay off debt and build our savings.
Along the way I've discovered that money is about much more than numbers. It's about the kind of life you want to live. So The Family CEO has expanded to include the things that are important to me, like simplifying and making a home, and the things that make my life full, like books, entertaining, travel, and finding ways to give.
I hope that the things we talk about at The Family CEO will help you make the most of your money, but mostly I hope that they'll help you create a life you love too.

I like all your posts… I prefer blogs that encompass everything, not just focusing soley on “finance”, or whatever…
I am a personal finance blogger mostly so I think I like those types of posts better for that reason. However good lifestyle posts are always interesting to read.
I like reading a variety of posts to keep it interesting.
I like both! I get tired of reading just about $$$$.
I love all your posts. I’m the mother of a college sophomore and a high school Sr, so I especially like the college posts.
