Giveaway: 3-2-1 Stop: Stop Running and Start Living

by Julie on April 2, 2012 · 32 comments

Lorilee Lippincott (how awesome is that name?) actually had me at the name of her blog: Loving Simple Living. And if I wasn’t sold already, she would have definitely drawn me in with the tagline: simplifying, destressing, and focusing on what matters.

Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Lorilee’s blog is wonderful reading and — if living simply appeals to you — you should definitely check it out.

Lorilee has also put her thoughts into a book, 3-2-1 Stop: Stop Running and Start Living, which was released earlier this month.

In 3-2-1 Stop, Lorilee divides her simple living philosophy into three main sections: Stuff, Space, and Self. She promises her readers that the book will

“clear out all the craziness and clutter from your life and make room for the simplicity to come in.”

I love that philosophy. I definitely believe that moving out the old (literally and figuratively) makes room for new, good things to come.

Ebook Giveaway

That’s why I was so pleased when Lorilee offered to give away not one, but three copies of her book to readers of The Family CEO.

All you have to do to earn an entry is to leave a comment on this post saying why you would like to win a copy of the book.

That’s it.

What could be simpler?

You can also get additional entries by 1) subscribing to The Family CEO by either email or RSS and leaving a separate comment to let me know you did that and/or 2) liking The Family CEO on Facebook and leaving a separate comment telling me you did that.

Next Monday I’ll choose a winner using the random number generator. To be guaranteed an entry, please leave your comment by noon, CST, on Monday, April 9.

So tell us in the comments why you want to live more simply and you may win a book to help you do just that.

If you enjoyed this post and would like more, enter your email address in the box below and future posts from The Family CEO will be sent to your email inbox for free. Your email will not be shared. You can unsubscribe at any time.

I’d love to win her e-book! With 2 children (teen & pre-teen), with their activities after school, not to mention school work, working part-time for me & full time for dh, I’m always looking for ways to simplify our lives & time together. Some days it seems like we are on the run, rather than enjoying the moment. Thank you for such a great website–so glad I “found” you!

Thanks Julie! I love finding new blogs, and Lorilee’s is quite good! I love the concept of simple living, and am striving in this direction little by little. Would LOVE to read Lorilee’s book, and since I’m being *tight* with my finances this month, FREE would be nice! :) !

This book seems like it will go along nicely with our spring/prepping for our 5th baby purging. We need to simplify our space so we can enjoy life and relax with our new family member. I am looking forward to reading her blog.

I would like the book so I could leave it the path of my husband. (He’s really not that bad, just not as minimalistic as I am.) But it’s good to get new tips and ideas. I’ll check out the blog.

I need to learn how to live simply! Our house is overrun with stuff, and I need a good way to simplify not only our house, but my life as well. Great giveaway!

I need to simplify badly. Mostly because it makes me feel disorganized and it affects my mood and my whole family. I want all who enter my home and who meet me to feel a sense of peace, serenity and calmness. I’ve been trying to attempt to do this and have been failing miserably. This book is just what I need. Thanks! :)

This book lwould help me get back on the right track. I empathize with Terry about how disorganization is affecting my mood and family. Ever since we moved 4 years ago and I started staying home with the kids, I feel like I’ve become much more disorganized, scattered, and our home is physically cluttered as well.

I would like to win this book so I could feel more peaceful! I’ve taken on tutoring in addition to my full time job so I can pay off debt and I’m feeling a little frazzled. I feel like simplifying could help me edit out some of those unneccesary things that are stealing my time & sanity. Thanks for the giveaway Julie! :)

Hi – I am a wife, mother of 3, business owner, mentor, friend and an elected official in my hometown. I have many plates spinning at one time and I need to stay focused on key priorities and goals and still have some time to replenish myself. I enjoy reading anything on the topic of simplification, stuff, space and self. I think this book would be a help to me.

Already stretched too thin, I’d love to read how to “clear out the clutter and live simply”. Thanks for offering the give-away.

We already live pretty simply, but I’m still clearing out a bunch of unused items in preparation for baby’s arrival. I don’t need a closet full of outdated computer parts and books. I don’t need some mismatched furniture that I’d stashed in the basement. I don’t need china or other dishes that sit unused in boxes. Time to clear out the clutter!

I have just started my organizing and simplifying journey. It was simple when it was just my husband and I, we never bought a thing. Two kids later and I can hardly keep the chaos at bay. I’m enjoying the simple life blogs. Books are even better.

I am spearheading our family’s efforts to live a more simple life. We’re moving into a house half the size of our current home at the end of this month. Since leaving the paid rat race in October, I’ve been selling things every week that we no longer use/need, banishing prepackaged foods from our kitchen and replacing them with more healthy options and home cooked meals, and creating fun (and cheap) family activities. I want to keep this effort going by winning/reading this book.
