We're in the process of looking at colleges for my oldest child and the school counselor passed along a great resource for lots of college information, particularly college scholarships: FastWeb.
Once you register at FastWeb (it's free) you'll find tabs for Scholarships, College Info, Jobs and Internships, and Other Resources. By filling out a profile, FastWeb will match you with schools and scholarships that meet your criteria.
We're just beginning to figure out all this college stuff (it didn't seem so hard when I went to school!) but FastWeb has been a help to us. Here's a link if you're interested: FastWeb.

Hi there,
What a great blog. FastWeb is a very good resource, thanks. I didn’t realize they also pointed you to financial aid information--getting harder to qualify for it all the time. There are two other free resources that can be useful, too--for financial aid and study abroad programs: FinAid, which is finaid.org, and International Education Financial Aid, which is iefa.org.
One question: Has FastWeb kept you informed about cuts in certain scholarship funds? I'm an adjunct professor at the State University of New York, and I always try to help the kids look into these things.
Thanks for any advice. By the way, I'm Anne T. Meyers, and I write a blog call AskAnne, giveme20.com/blog, on managing family finances and teaching kids about money. I'm blogging on college tuition hikes this week...
