Two eBay Listings this Week plus Cookbooks on Etsy
Last week I sold my deviled egg dish on eBay for $74. This week I have up two cookbook auctions:
The Great American Home Baking Cookbook and a lot of 6 Wilton Cake Decorating books. These were actually items that I purchased at a sale, with the intent of selling them online. With less than two days to go the bids are still low but I have lots of watchers, particularly on the Wilton auction.
And there's a new addition my sidebar: I have opened a cookbook shop on Etsy called Collectible Cookbooks. I've made three sales in two weeks, which I'm somewhat pleased with considering I've only had time to list 15 items.
Not familiar with Etsy? It's an online marketplace for selling handmade items. Fortunately for me, they also have an active vintage community. If you've never been there, you really should check it out. But be warned: it's addictive.
Update: The two eBay cookbook auctions closed at a total of $26.50. I'll admit I was hoping for a more, but I made about $18 profit after shipping and fees. And I still have another cookbook I bought at the same sale to list. So it looks like that particular garage sale stop wasn't a bad one after all.
