NYC Trip Report: Central Park

Day Five

Central Park: Our last day in the city and we had time for one activity before our flight out. Since our tour had taken us around Central Park, but not through it, we walked to the park in search of a carriage ride.

The weather was too hot for the horses to be out but not for the humans: we took two pedi-cabs instead. This may have been fortunate because instead of the 17-minute ride that the carriages give you, we had a 45-minute, fully narrated tour.

Our guides were great and we saw so much, including many spots where famous movie scenes were filmed. We also saw up-close the front of the Dakota, where John Lennon was shot, and the Strawberry Fields section of the park across from the Dakota.

The rides were $50/each. It was a perfect way to end our stay!
